Mark-Up was founded in 2000 by Claudio Grossi who conceived the idea of bringing together some of the best consultants he had come to know
over the course of his professional experience. The Mission of Mark-Up is to offer
integrated training and consulting in three areas of
expertise, Finance & Strategy, Marketing & Sales, Organization & Management, which today make up its three divisions. This entrepreneurial
idea, which has earned a name for Mark-Up as a
“consultraining company”, is based on the following basic premises:
a) There are too many trainers that would not be able to put into practice what they teach;
b) There are too many consultants that would not be able to carry out what they propose;
c) There is too little University in Businesses;
d) There is too little Business in Universities.
The concept of bringing culture and a solid basis of theory to the business activities of Mark-Up clients, while returning practical
experience back into research, is of supreme importance in the Mark-Up approach. A substantial commitment in teaching and research at
several Italian universities on the part of the founder of Mark-Up has enabled the consultraining company to follow this approach.
Likewise, in consulting and research, Mark-Up continues to pursue in-depth knowledge of what they teach and at the same time the ability
to teach and achieve in a practical way what they propose to their clients.
Leonardo da Vinci once said:
“He who loves practice without theory is like the sailor who boards ship without a rudder and compass and never knows where he may cast. Practice must always be built upon solid theory.”
